The Politics of Selection

Hi I am back. Not with a bang. The other blog which I used to scribble is lost in the binaries of the magical  key 'delete'.  This one however was neglected on the sidelines. Call it writer's block!!! For whom am I writing?  Who is listening is not very important. Today I feel compelled to write. For two reasons, first my mind has been simmering with unrest, second I watched  the movie Julie and Julia. Both have urged me to take my pen back. This time around it is the agitation surrounding elections. How do people get elected to don the mitre, by consensus or will of God. Oh God! This is a perennial subject, the absence of God or the will of God. The subject the saints have not comprehended, the subject that still plagues the world. When Haiti was devastated, somebody send all the pictures with the caption, 'the silence of God' to which my friend disagreed, suggesting ' the tears of God'. Whatever, I was confronted by the same issue.

Why do you write blogs if nobody is going to read it. The internet is providing suicide sites for blogs and chat (Times,http://www.time.com/time/business/article/0,8599,1954631,00.html#ixzz06WmhWca) sites, so that with a single click all your social networking tools are sent to oblivion, never to resurrect again. Ok that is fine... Blogging has become the in thing, " User Generated Content". People are also escaping it, some are making a fortune out of it. Julie and Julia captures attention in many levels, but it just caught my attention as my blog had been hibernated for a while, a long while. This time it has been given another life line.  why?.... motivational problems.!!!!!!

Well, give justice to your caption. How do bishops do get elected ?. Forget the process, but is it a human process or a divine process. Hard to believe, when seemingly wrong people get elected to the posts of fullness of priesthood. Perhaps to see the wisdom of God is not easy and human. But the wisdom of man is also a guide to the wisdom of God or is it vice versa?. Start thinking man... this is not the end of the world, but it does not augur well for those who find all the politics surrounding elections stifling. Maybe you are resigned, not to mouth your voice for fear of reprisal, of being unpopular, of being tagged as a '...' Whatever, this is going to be a good omen for me. Nonetheless the opinion, the issue, my keyboard has to be punched in every day, right now a joy or a necessity to fill in the vacant spaces of my mind to express myself, eventhough blogging would be labelled as one page to scribble whatever crosses your mind. Wow, try it day in a day out. It is never too late to write.
